Receiving and Maintaining Possession of the Soccer Ball
Get the ball (also commonly referred to as “trapping the ball”). In this section, receiving and trapping are used interchangeably. Last season, one of the youth football teams I coach, I had a 10-year-old running back who loved to use the stiff arm. It was not very fast and powerful, but he had a good field vision.
